VooDoo Steak Reviews

Our cousin was in town and he wanted to revisit the Voodoo lounge but decided the steakhouse would satisfy his reliving the moment. We had a 5 PM reservation and arrived a little early so we would be on time. Unfortunately the elevator is locked until about 502 so it didn't really matter. maybe make the first reservation at 515 so everyone can be on time. So while we waited we walked around to see what changes they've made since the new owner took over. Seems like half the casino is gone and not much else has been updated yet. When we finally got up to the 50th floor on the private restaurant elevator we were greeted right away. Once checked in we were seated right away and enjoyed a nice window seat. The views really are nice but the 80s tint on the window could definitely be changed. It seems like there has to be an alternative these days but the blue tint really didn't help. The outdoor deck was open and you can get some good pictures from out there. The decor was very voodoo inspired and the restaurant was clean. It was a good vibe with it not being loud but pretty mellow and just right. Our server was attentive and got our drinks right away. The drinks were very good and full of alcohol as they should be. Once we placed our food order we didn't have to wait long and it came out hot and cooked well. My steak was med rare as ordered and was really tasty. Was the 10 oz filet worth 70 bucks , that's debatable but it was cooked right and tasted good. 20 bucks for mashed potatoes was really over the top and they could have been better. My wife enjoyed her fish and the amount of food was just right. Overall it was a good experience and even though it was pricey it was a good experience. A sunset reservation is a must so you can experience a little day light and the lights of the strip.

Holy moly this place was good!!! Better than any other steak house we have been to in vegas! Customer service top tier food excellent!!!!!!! We willl be back

We are so happy we decided to eat at VooDoo Steak while staying at the Rio. 10/10 service, ambiance, and food!! We made reservations last Saturday night and immediately headed up to the 50th floor. The elevator ride is an experience in itself! We were seated right away with a view of the strip. We arrived right at sunset so got both daylight and nighttime views. You can walk outside the restaurant balcony to get incredible pictures! We ordered our drinks and food and our drinks were brought out promptly. We were provided with bread and butter while we waited for our food. We both ordered the 10oz filet and then got mushroom and a baked potato for sides and shared them. Everything was incredible!! One of the best steakhouses we've ever been too.

What an amazing time!!!! Our server was incredibly nice and charming. We ordered a 3 course dinner as part of a anniversary deal they were having. For $130- we had a wine flight at the wine cellar that was a included . The limited menu had the perfect portion sizes. We started with a Cesar salad followed by your choice of a 6oz filet or salmon, both served with amazing mashed potatoes and asparagus, and ended the meal with an amazing chocolate cake! It was such a romantic setting on the 50th floor with a great view of the strip- low lighting setting the mood. A true Vegas classic.

Solid steakhouse with an amazing view of the strip from a he 50th floor. We had the seafood tower to start which was very well made and fresh. The steaks we ordered were well prepared too. I had the wagyu & my wife the small NYS. Mushroom side was so-so. A really well put together wine list with a few hidden gems. The staff was attentive without being intruding. I don't recall our server's name but based on what we experienced, all of them are probably top shelf. Be sure to time your reservation to watch the sunset over the Strip.

VooDoo Steak is absolutely amazing and worth the visit. The restaurant has its own elevator that takes you right up to the 50th floor, which gives the restaurant an exclusive vibe. The elevator has a window to the outside so you can enjoy the view as you ride up. The seating is right up against the window or one table away from the window, so everybody has a good view while eating. We got the 10 oz Filet steaks and they were beyond delicious and incredibly juicy. The potato wedges as a side were really good. I loved the flavor of the cheese with the potatoes. They have a patio you can go out on to take a photo with the Las Vegas strip in the background. The food here is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is top-notch.

Food: Seafood Tower Rib Eye The Seafood Tower was delcious and worth the price. The Tower consists of hot & cold seafood shrimp, lobster, crab cakes, crawfish, seared scallops, and poke shooters. The hot seafood had what seemed like beurre blanc or lemon butter sauce. The Rib Eye was equally delicious. Seasoned well and cooked to my liking. Tender and flavorful. Definitely a spot I'd return to and would recommend.
VooDoo Steak
VooDoo Steak at 3700 W Flamingo Rd Las Vegas, NV 89103 United States delivers more than just a meal—it offers a skyline dining experience that blends bold flavors with bold views. For those searching for a high-end steakhouse in Las Vegas with attitude, this spot rises to the occasion, both literally and figuratively.
The Las Vegas steakhouse with the most unforgettable view and experience
Towering above the Strip inside the Rio Hotel, VooDoo Steak sets itself apart with a rooftop setting that turns dinner into an event. From the moment you step into the elevator and rise to the 50th floor, the energy shifts. The city sprawls below as the sky glows in neon and sunset hues. Inside, the vibe balances sleek sophistication with a playful edge—think dark tones, moody lighting, and a dining room that frames the view like a painting. It’s no surprise this place becomes a magnet for both romantic dates and celebratory dinners. The service strikes that sweet spot: friendly without hovering, knowledgeable without pretense. Staff are quick to recommend wine pairings and offer insight into how the signature meats are aged or sourced. It's this attention to detail that makes guests feel like they're getting more than a meal—they're part of a story.
Where prime cuts meet culinary creativity
The menu at VooDoo Steak leans into classic steakhouse staples, but with a chef-driven twist that surprises even seasoned carnivores. The bone-in ribeye arrives with a smoky char and melts at the slice, while the filet mignon is so tender it could be cut with a spoon. But it’s not just about the beef. The lobster tail, often ordered as an indulgent surf-and-turf option, comes perfectly broiled and butter-bathed, providing a sweet contrast to the richness of the steak. Other standouts include the smoked bacon jam Brussels sprouts and the truffle mac & cheese—decadent, bold, unforgettable. One unique touch? The VooDoo Shrimp appetizer: a spicy, garlicky dish that hits you with heat and flavor in all the right ways. Even the dessert menu pushes the envelope, with items like the warm chocolate soufflé and house-made sorbets refreshing the palate while rounding out the evening.
A hotspot for locals and tourists alike
There’s something magnetic about VooDoo Steak’s location. Nestled above the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, it’s close enough to the Strip to feel its pulse but far enough removed to breathe. For visitors, it’s a must-see destination that often makes it onto Vegas "best of" lists. For locals, it’s a spot to bring out-of-town guests or celebrate anniversaries. The reviews reflect this dual identity—diners praise not only the food but the overall vibe, the view, and the pacing of the experience. It’s a restaurant that knows what it is and leans in hard: bold, unapologetically upscale, with just enough Vegas flair to feel like part of the city’s story. And then there’s the rooftop lounge next door—after dinner, guests can drift into VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub, making it a full night out without ever leaving the building.
More than a steakhouse—VooDoo is a Las Vegas memory
What makes VooDoo Steak so unforgettable isn’t just the food or the view, though both are stellar. It’s the way the experience sticks with you. Maybe it’s the way the Strip lights shimmer beneath your table, or the smoky aroma as a perfectly seared steak is placed before you. Perhaps it’s the quiet moment when you realize the meal is more than just dinner—it’s the memory of Las Vegas distilled into a single night. That’s what keeps people coming back. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, VooDoo doesn’t just serve meals—it delivers moments.
Fantastic views of the Vegas strip, excellent customer service, and great food! Do not skip the lobster bisque
